He studied at the School of Fine Arts, where he excelled in the technique of etching. He also worked as a stage decorator at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires. Even as a young man he saw his efforts as a painter rewarded. in 1924 he was awarded the National Prize & four years later he received the Grand Prize of Honor at the Ibero-American Exposition held in Seville. Canvases like Motherhood or Remorse attest to his worth. in 1952 he obtained, at the Biennial Exhibition of Madrid, the great prize awarded to engraving, which came to confirm other international awards & recognitions previously received.
