Wet stem may impart colours onto the ribbon & the stain might be difficult to remove. Also take care that the ribbon doesn’t get in touch with water containing flower food, as it is a chemical which can stain the ribbon & shift natural colours. Floral green tape may impart colour to the silk ribbon. If you use green tape, it is advisable to cover it with twine or scotch tape to prevent colour transfer to the ribbon. WASHING & IRONING It is not advisable to wash the ribbon because some colours might be affected by the acidity or alkalinity of the soap & water used. Should you need to wash your ribbon, we recommend to gently handwash it in tepid water using a gentle pH-neutral soap & air dry out of direct sunlight. Natural colours may shift in shades when encountering drastic change in pH or added chemical. You can iron your ribbon using dry iron on the silk (low - medium) setting. Upon air-drying, the silk fabric might feel stiff. You can give it a gentle scrunch to fluff it & make it soft again. For crinkle silk ribbon, due to it is being very delicate, it is not advisable to wash & iron the ribbon to preserve its shape & texture. STORING YOUR SILK RIBBON Please note that fading is a characteristic of colours on fabric, be it natural & sometimes even synthetic colours. in naturally dyed products, nature gives us living colours, over time the colour might shift or fade. It is recommended to approach this phenomena
