The simple construction & uncomplicated design of this beautiful set of dining chairs really make them timeless, fitting in most decorating schemes, from rustic to the more modern. Danish designer Folke Pålsson was a part of the FDB design collective. FDB was founded after World War II with the aim to make affordable furniture for everyday use, closely following the infamous Bauhaus principle. Pålsson’s Windsor-inspired J77 dining chair is what he became most famous for. The chair has a wide seat in stunning proportion, & curved spindle back for optimal comfort, while the slightly conical legs create extra stability. It has become such a design classic that HAY started to reproduce them in 2011 in a variety of colours & finishes. This set of six are original & constructed from teak. in overall good condition, with the usual surface wear commensurate with age & as photographed. Each seat base has been stripped & refinished with everything else given a fresh coat of oil, cleaning & condition the wood, & making each chair look its best once more. Each chair measure approximately 43cm wide, 43cm deep & 78cm tall with a seat height of 43.5cm. All of our prices include VAT, please get it touch if you require a VAT receipt.
