A leading mid century Mexican modernist, Shoemaker’s pieces feature biomorphic shapes & exotic woods designed with traditional reference. This iconic swinger sling chair is exceptionally crafted from rich cocobolo rosewood with striking grain utilizing innovative links & joints. It features original black leather sling backrest & removable seat & ottoman cushions. The seat is comfortable & roomy & is designed to gently swing forward & back. Both chair & ottoman have maker’s mark. This striking chair is a beautiful example of Mexican, Brazilian & Latin American mid century modern design quickly gaining popularity.
