Thanks for visiting our shop! Cheers! . A gorgeous set of 6 vintage silver-plated Julep swizzle stirrer straw spoons by W & S Blackington Company, in their original box, circa 1950s. These spoons are nothing short of stunning with a heart-shaped Julep spoon base & long slender handles. These spoons are a true, bright silver; any yellow hue you see is from the camera’s flash. These spoons have a hollow stem so they can serve as a sipper/straw. The pictures don’t do these spoons justice & we’ll likely re-shoot them. They are the most stunning, vibrant silver. These spoons are well-crafted & have some weight to them. Why not serve your Mint Juleps & cocktails in style with these gorgeous vintage swizzle/Julep spoons?!? Hallmarks: There are no hallmarks on the spoons; the case comes with the original authenticity card that says “W & S Blackington Company Silversmiths since 1865 Condition: Good vintage condition. One spoon has a small but noticeable area of missing silver-plate on the back/tip (see photo #9) that might be a manufacturing flaw as these spoons don’t appear to have been used. There is some mild tarnish in a few places (mostly on the back of the spoons where the “straw” connects to the spoon bed). The spoons are all straight & a vibrant silver-plate. The box is in fair condition & does show signs of age that card-board gets over the course of decades & also has a single piece of scotch tape on the top cover. Overall, these spoons are in good vintage condition & truly a lovely set. Length: The spoons measure a tad over 8 1/2” in length On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously & carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery.
