This is a very unique, one of a kind table lamp. It is made from a salvaged 1930s DC voltage amplifier. The case is walnut. I did the bare minimum to the wood then rubbed it down with a linseed/orange oil mixture. Removing the nearly 100year old guts of this very vintage piece of electronics lightened it by 30 lbs. All the vintage knobs & gauges remain as well as the original metal tag. It was made at GENERAL RADIO CO. in Cambridge, Massachusetts. The original display lights, long broken were replaced with a trio of colored LEDs controlled by their own switch. I installed a 110 volt convenience outlet on one side with its own dual USB chargers. All new polished nickel lamp parts were used to turn it into a great table lamp with a machined aluminum lamp socket & a grounded cord. Great statement piece! It’s a great gift for Dad! The shade is for display only (12 top/15 bottom/11 high). We offer free ground shipping. Shipping upgrades are available.
