This vintage thickly hand-couched & hand & machine embroidered white cotton (vs. linen) table runner is so ridiculously pretty I believe that it dates to the 1940’s or earlier & presents a beautiful red & blue couched embroidery of repeating leaves all along the border. I purchased this from a dealer of French goods years ago at a textile show, so I surmise that it is a vintage French textile; however, I am not 100% certain of its origin. Allot of time went into creating this extremely textural runner. It is a beautiful embroidery & will look so darling on your farmhouse kitchen table. The table runner is in excellent, clean & unused condition. I don’t see any problems with it at all. It is unlined. You will want to iron out the wrinkles before using. It’s possible there are a few tiny pulls to the embroidery or teeny tiny spots that I overlooked; but, I was careful in my assessment.
