Plate 3887: Three-Colored Tulip (Tulipa Tricolor), Curtis Botanical Magazine. Original antique hand-colored copperplate engraving published by Samuel Curtis on August 1, 1841. Walter Hood Fitch was the artist & it was engraved by Joseph Swan. It was then water colored by hand at the original time of publication over 175 years ago. It is an original hand-colored antique print, not a modern reproduction. Original informational text sheet included with purchase. Dimensions: Approx. 6" x 9" (sheet size) Condition: There is some slight faint offsetting, but otherwise very good. It will be packaged in a sealed plastic sleeve on a backing & will ship within a rigid mailer for protection.
