Loom embroidered table runner with handwoven animal, plant, & flower designs. Bold colors & broad designs are typical in the yarn/loom work designs of southern Mexico. The backing of the runner is cotton embroidered on a waist loom. That piece of material is then hand embroidered stitch by stitch. The plants & animals depicted are those commonly found in the jungles surrounding the area. Piece could be used as a wall hanging too. Chiapas Animal Table Runner is approximately 68" long & 16" wide. Table Runner is completely HANDMADE, as a result, there may be very small imperfections.
