Jacobean is a term used to describe all English style furniture that was crafted all the way back to King James. The style was constructed to be heavy in weight & appearance, & were typically framed, which kept them nice & sturdy. The ball style feet & turned legs are another feature of Jacobean style. This style of furniture became popular in America in the late 1800’s into the early 1900’s. The same sturdy construction was used, which is why we find them in fairly good condition today. This sideboard buffet is from the 1920’s & was just in need of some TLC. The top & legs were sanded, stained & given several coats of polyurethane, for protection. The body was painted in Farmhouse White & stained to bring out the carvings & texture of the wood. The drawers work well & have been lined, & transfers were applied to the inside of the cabinet doors. There is a drawer for flatware inside the right cabinet. All the hardware is original. 66"w x 22"d x 37"h Sold Out-Jacobean Sideboard Buffet
