Original antique hand-colored lithograph of the Red Thorn tree (Crataegus Sanguineus) published by Smith & Wister in Philadelphia, 1849. It was drawn by John T. French & lithographed by Sinclair’s. It is from Thomas Nuttall’s “The North American Sylva,” which completed André Michaux’s earlier work describing the trees of North America. It is an original antique print that was water colored by hand over 150 years ago. Original informational text sheet included with purchase. Dimensions: Approx. 6" x 10" (sheet size) Condition: Very good.
