I used a border stripe from the Scarlet Feather cotton fabric collection by Northcott to piece the top of this beautiful placemat with curved corners. The fabric pieces are cut in a mirror image to give a unique one-of-a-kind kaleidoscope effect. A coordinating holly-berry print is on the back with a gray wood-grain print used for the bias-cut double-fold hand-sewn binding.
