These are lab created laser garnets, specifically YAG (Yttrium Aluminum Garnet) with Nd & Ce. Their color changes between purple-pink & pink-peach under variously natural, incandescent & led light, but turns a light yellow under fluorescent illumination. They also show an orange glow under UV. Each is labelled with its weight, measurements & letter in the photo & they can be purchased individually. This is another unusual synthetic, next-gen Nd+ laser YAG. The original Nd YAG has been used in lasers for many decades, but it contains Nd & is all the same color. Our material is a newer, more advanced formulation with extra elements like Ce added, & these add another dimension to the color. in natural light they vary from purple to pink to peach, & under fluorescent lighting they change to a pale orange-yellow. These stones have been compared to Mahenge garnets & pastel pyropes. YAG is a perfect material for jewelry use - it has a high hardness (8.5), no cleavage or brittleness issues & excellent optical properties which make it sparkle brilliantly.
