I have painted the routed word with a DARK Red exterior paint. It then was sanded down & finished with a Boiled Linseed Oil sealer. I send this sign with screws & a pre-drilled 15 1/2 inch tall stick. The sign is 12 inches long by 2 1/2 inches tall. This garden sign should last you many years, given that you pull them out of the weather during your winter season. The signs will come to you ready to assemble with 2 simple screws per sign. Using the screws will ensure the longevity of your sign, as well as increased shipping safety Please keep in mind your sign may have a different grain of wood than this pictured item, we are working with mother nature here You will need a phillips standard screwdriver to assemble your sign & a measuring tape to make sure your stake is in the center of the sign.
