The seam does not gape open, please see photos & enlarge if necessary to see the area. The swivel base is in good condition & swivels smoothly. Paint is intact on the legs with minimal finish wear. The original swivel leg caps are all present. Finish wear to the leg caps, the brass tone metal could use a bit of polishing to make them shiny again. Tufted buttons are all present & secured.
