Very old Mars J.S. Staedtler metal pencil box complete with intact paper insert. The Greek God of War Ares is on the top of the box & top of the insert. Made in Germany. Includes one new shiny drawing original pencil, a Lumograph 22H, which dates the company as 1662-1937, so I assume this makes the pencil & box from 1937. The metal box has some surface rust to the top left side & the bottom, & a dent on the right side of the front. Opens & closes nicely. The paper insert is very clean & beautiful.
