Formed by hand from a single piece of leather & free from stitching or metal hardware, this desk tray takes advantage of the unique properties of vegetable tanned leather to hold its shape. When this type of leather is soaked in water it can be freely sculpted, & will continue to hold that form once dried. The tray is rigid enough to be carried & manipulated without spilling the contents. & is suitable to be taken in & out of drawers as needed. Soft on desk surfaces & pencil tips alike, leather is an ideal material for these sort of office organizers. I offer many sizes & variations of these simple items to accommodate anything you might require. Keys, envelopes, papers, other nick knacks & odds & ends, A tray very much like this one got my business off the ground. in 2014, I sat at makeshift workbench wondering what I could do with a small bit of leftover material from another project. This is what I came up with. Since that day I have made around 4000 & counting. Each by hand, through an ever evolving process. These humble trays continue to teach me more every day. They don’t require any fancy tricks, just good fundamentals of the craft. Simple to learn, but hard to master. Words like square & straight sound simple on paper, but the real world does not turn out that way without great care & intention.
