This large, handsome letter box is wrapped in black leather & adorned with shiny brass details. It is propped up by three ornate gold-tone legs that almost look like little dragon heads from some angles, at least to me. It has a very beautiful Art Deco-style latch that could be locked with a thin padlock. The lidded container is made of a man-made material, such as resin or perhaps even Bakelite. The inside is painted a goldfish tone, but the finish is worn away in spots, especially in the bottom. The leather on the exterior also has some rough spots where the leather has been worn through the years. Please see all pictures. This is a large heavy box, which is why shipping is high.
