TURTLE NEEDLE FELTING KIT Turtles are terrific & easy to make! This TURTLE Kit is designed to guide new & experienced needle felters to make at least 2 of their own adorable turtles! The kit has plenty of wool in shades of green & tan, to makes least two 3" turtles as described. You can choose to make a turtle like the one in the photo, which is loosely modeled after a red ear slider, or modify the shell to be more mounded if you like. You can make them to keep or gift to someone special. Needle Felting is a simple & forgiving process in which you can shape wool fiber into anything you can imagine by poking it with a single barbed needle. The more the fiber is needled, the more dense it becomes. It’s a magical process that can be addictive for some of us! Step by step needle felting instructions guide you through the simple process of poking the wool with a barbed needle to make it stick together to form your cute turtles. Diagrams are included to gauge the size of the parts you make as well as the finished sculptures. Tips for new needle felters & other guidance learned from over 10 years of teaching the craft, is provided as well. Two felting needles, 38T & 40 T, complete the package. Needles can be used for future projects as well. You will need to provide your own felting surface such as a sponge or small pillow (or even an oven mitt works in a pinch.)You may choose to purchase a two-toned all wool felting pad at additional cost. My Wool Felting Pads last longer than foam & are a more environmentally friendly alternative & come with 2 additional needles. These instructions are merely a place to begin.
