This is my favorite lamp, & I should have listed it months ago, but I wasn’t ready to give it up. I’m still not, hence the price. It’s just so pretty & perfect, & the long, tapered beaded damask shade so appropriate! This is made of the finest Italian porcelain known as Capodimonte, meaning “top of the mountain”, & features cutwork with raised cherub musicians, hand painted & embellished with gold enamel detailing throughout. There are hand molded wee flowers appliqued to the top & bottom of the body & tiny birds in flight, & no detail was left unattended. This measures 35" h. with shade & 8"w. at brass filigree base. Please note that the green of the shade, which is a muted olive, does not match the richer, Spring green on the porcelain. I think it looks great, but a red shade would be so much better. It uses one standard Edison style bulb, 75 watts or less. Price is for the lamp with shade, wired & ready to use.
