We have an incredibly well preserved Egyptian revival ‘Mummy’ mechanical pencil & matching chain necklace. A fabulous art deco collectible & multi-functional accessory. The pendant is suspended from a hallmarked silver loop & features a silver mummy sarcophagus with red, blue, & green enamel details, including hieroglyphic symbols on the front & back. The base of the mummy connects to a hollow brass screw tip designed to hold pencil lead, & can still be loaded with care. The necklace features a pattern of 6 different links, five flat floral links each with their own unique shape, & a repeating solid silver link in the shape of an Egyptian Pharoah head. The chain is just over 37" long & secure with a watch chain-style loop & clasp. The enamel has remained well-preserved with only a few minor dings/scuffs to the mummy case. The chain & case do have some patina to them, but overall this piece remains in excellent vintage condition. This listing contains photographs of the actual item you will receive. Please look closely at the pictures as they are part of the product description. Every piece is cleaned, polished, examined, & described to the best of our ability, & we encourage you to reach out with any questions.
