An early 20th century lowboy console table, showcasing a rich oak exterior, having a rectangular top with molded edge & slight rear raised lip, mounted above two hinged cabinet doors affixed with brass bail pull fittings, keyhole escutcheons, & cross-banded inlay border, opening to reveal a large spacious interior storage compartment. Resting on a carved & scalloped shaped skirt featuring pierced quatrefoil accents, rising on four cabriole legs, ending in pad feet. As warm & attractive as it is useful, this versatile European antique can be used many different ways, including in the dining room as a sideboard server or buffet, the living room as a media stand or credenza, or in the bedroom as a low dresser or blanket chest.
