RAK by MAZANLI forms part of the RAK dining table & REA bench ensemble. The combination was originally created for the gourmet restaurant “Baldon” in the Lobe Studio in Berlin, which was designed by star architect Arno Brandlhuber. The elegant, minimalist line of the bench was used to create a strong contrast to the “brutality” of the concrete which dominates the entire building complex. Following the great interest in the furniture, MAZANLI has permanently included the ensemble in its collection. The sense of weightlessness is made possible by the use of thin but highly robust square tubes (2 cm x 2 cm) made from high quality German Kruppstahl. The steel used is untreated & develops a unique patina over time, depending on the surrounding climate. The RAK dining table is also available in white or black powdered steel however. RAK means highest standard & true contemporary Berlin design. The tabletop is 2 cm thick & is made of high-quality oak wood (up to 13 slats). The tabletop is then oiled by hand. The metal frame is completely welded together & will be delivered in on piece. RAK has a height of about 77 cm & depth of 90 cm. For the width, 130cm, 160 cm & 180 cm are available to choose from. If you would like a special size or a customised item, please contact us. Important note: The untreated steel version is indeed untreated. This means it will have scratches, signs of the welding (including “rainbow effect”) will clearly be visible & the steel will develop a patina over time (i.e. the steel will show signs of rust). This is all intended & part of the design of the product. If the aforementioned effects are not desirable, please choose the black or white powder coated versions of this product. These are protected & do not develop a patina. Dining Table Rak - Steel & High-Quality Oak Wood
