This is an antique French provincial buffet made of solid wood that I have hand-painted in a color combination of blue, grey-wash, & gold guilding in a “Winter at the Chateau” style. An aged stamp of “commode” (French dresser) on the back of the piece displays its age & background & beautiful, curvy features of the classic French provincial style provide dramatic flair & charm. Features: This lovely painted French dresser/sideboard features a top center drawer that includes felt lining & wooden dividers which are great to keep silverware separated if used as a buffet or to keep delicates & jewelry separated if used as a bedroom dresser. Twelve deep drawers & an expansive tabletop space offer ample interior storage & display/serving space. Paint Finish: The only one of its kind in the world, this beautiful French country buffet has been hand-painted in an enchanting palette of gently contrasting colors. Painted in a lightly rustic style to complement the age of the piece, the buffet has a charming weathered appeal. The paint finish is sealed with a durable, oil-based wax topcoat, & the entire piece has a finish sanding & buffing for a pleasing, smooth-to-the-touch feel. Condition: The condition of this antique French buffet is good with wear consistent with age & use. You’ll find common imperfections such as nicks & chips & mild flaws in the wood which speak to its antique state & provide a time-worn aesthetic. The most noticeable imperfections are small indentations in random places on the tabletop portion of the buffet, as is noted in the photos. These minor flaws offer a beautiful aged quality & character. The entire piece is sturdy & durable & all drawers work well. Please do feel free to request more photos. Shipping includes delivery into your home but does not include taking up flights of stairs.
