1909 BESPOKE: These are our completely custom handmade suits. Each suit is crafted for an individual customer based on his tastes & lifestyle, & the price of the suit includes us spending 4 hours on designing your suit alone & sketching ideas. These suits are completely patterned, cut, & sewn here in our studio in Denver, Colorado. The name “1909 Bespoke” reflects the fact that the most interesting period for men’s suits was the period between 1909 & 1921. Men wore suits for almost every activity, & they had a wealth of styles & details to choose from that were eventually lost to mass production. These suits are made from heavier woolen fabrics than you find on suits today & have a genuine texture & heft. Alternately, these styles can be made in linens & seersuckers for summer wear. Each suit features hand prick-stitching on the lapels, a handmade decorative buttonhole, & Edwardian style hand-embroidered tacks on the pockets. ABOUT THIS STYLE: A one-button silhouette is the slimmest cut The jacket actually has three buttons, but only the top button on the jacket closes. The jacket cuts away below the top button & shapes around the body for a very vertical look in which the vest points are revealed between the jacket fronts below the waist. The jacket also features sportsman’s cuffs that can easily be rolled up for work or play. The fabric is a dense wool herringbone fabric, & the buttons are an authentic & beautiful corozo nut. The pants feature an adjustable belt detail as well as suspender buttons. We can make virtually any type of pant. THE MUSLIN FITTING PROCESS: The price of these suits includes our most thorough fitting process. For these suits, we ask you to provide measurements (that can be taken at home-and we will provide a measuring tape) & then we cut & sew a complete mock-up of the suit in cotton fabric. You try this on & send us digital pictures of yourself wearing it. Based on these pictures, we will adjust for posture, asymmetry, & preference in addition to fit. This means that every aspect of the suit can be completely customized to your body & look in every way. These suits are guaranteed to fit just the way you want them, & if anything doesn’t feel right, we are glad to make further adjustments.
