Colorful & wonderful vintage amateur art piece, an illustration of a pair of parrots or other exotic birds, done in marker on thick paper. Signed by the artist & dated 1956. The artist notes the piece was “colored.” It’s unclear to me if this was a stock image that was colored in, or if the artist created the image & then colored it in. I do see some outlines in a few areas. The outlines could be light pencil rather than a stock image. My guess is that it’s all original art. in any case, a bright & beautiful piece for the beach house or eclectic interior. Thick paper. About 12" tall by 9" wide. Unframed. CONDITION: Some normal handling wear, minor-ish creasing, normal age toning & normal vintage soiling, some edge wear & corner wear, etc. Dark age toning around the edges. Bit more wear on top edge & top two corners have more creasing. Tiny darker spot above large bird’s head. Small surface tear on right border area. Any props not included.
