We are pleased to be offering this beautiful example of early Victorian marble top center table or parlor table to you today. Featuring gorgeous mahogany, heavily carved legs, shapely turtle top marble top, it dates from the 1860s in original untouched condition. There is a white & gray grained marble top that is in the shape of turtle when looking from the top down. We have to admit, we have a soft spot for these kinds of tables, & we sell a lot of them. The wide ogee bevel top marble that follows the contours of the base, all four trim skirts have hand carved flowers with button design on each skirt. The legs are carved from the top down. The cross braces are joined together with a top & bottom finial column. There are a couple of pieces of carving that are missing, but you really must study it to notice. There is a small piece of trim missing on the bottom finial. The overall size is 39 inches wide, 27 inches deep & 31 inches high. It is a great table. The marble is in good condition.
