This is an antique Japanese personal storage chest called Ko Tansu date Middle Meiji period (1880’s - 1890’s). It was used to store letters, documents, books & other items for daily use. Made of 100% Paulownia wood (Kirinoki). It comes in different size of drawers which is ideal to store various items.
