This antique/vintage chair pad is made using a braided rug technique with a coiled, hand knit tube stitched into an oblong, flat chair pad. It measures approximately 16.5" x 20". in the photos, the green really pops out, in reality, I would say the color is more balanced. No matter what, it’s a fun, funky piece! The yarn is wool with an ever changing run of both solid & variegated colors. There is no obvious damage although there are small openings here & there, shown in the close ups where colors end & start, see photo 9. Also, there is some yellowing/discoloration visible in the lightest area, shown both sides in photos 3 & 8. When I hold it up to light I don’t see any holes but there are a couple of places where the stitches that hold the coils together should be reinforced. Antique, Handknit Chair Pad, 1930S/1940S
