This antique childs rocking chair has loads of charm. This shop owner is a 73 year old man & I very rarely use the word “cute”, but this handcrafted wooden child’s rocking chair is as CUTE as can be! I have it pictured beside a 1 quart canning jar to help show the size of this unusual low child’s rocker. The plank bottom seat (one piece of wood) is only 8" from the floor. Notice how the runners of this rocking chair are slotted into the legs, & secured with square headed nails (a wonderful way to date furniture). This chair had been painted with milk paint, see bottom of seat, but removed at one time to show the original finish. (some traces of the paint still show). Natural patina. As found condition, extremely solid with tight joints. Spindle back rest. FREE SHIPPING. Condition: Very solid handmade construction, especially considering it’s age. The seat show some wear from years of use, but smooth to the touch. Notice the bottoms of the runners that show decades of use from no doubt generations of toddlers. Plank bottom seat; one solid piece of wood. Natural patina. Measurements: The seat is 8" from the floor. The back is 17" from the floor the seat is 11" across & 10" deep. Each runner is 17.25 " from front to back. LPRbu Antique Childs Rocking Chair/ 1800’s Primitive Handcrafted Child’s Chair Lots Of Charm/Free Shipping
