60 Antique Game Marbles - Mixed Color Solid Glass Vintage Target For Games, Such As Chinese Checkers

This lot contains 60 mostly antique solid color glass toy marbles. 10 each of 6 different colors, commonly used for games, such as Chinese Checkers. Most common colors are: White, Black, Red, Green, Blue, Yellow. If you need different specific colors, please message me. However, I cannot guarantee I can provide all 10 of some rare antique colors. Rare colors will cost more depending upon availability. The photo shown is just an example of what I have available for sale. Glass marbles, such as these, have been made throughout the world since the early 1900’s. Nearly every glass marble manufacturer made solid color game marbles as they were relatively easy to make, being just one color. The majority of these game marbles were made by various marble manufacturers in America between 1910 & 1990. Thus, many of these being offered are true antiques. However, being that they are just one color without any other markings, it is often nearly impossible to discern their true age or original manufacturer. in fact, this style of marble is still being made today in other parts of the world. Modern marbles tend to have more uniform color. Many of these do not, indicating that they are older. As these marbles come from my personal collection which I have collected from various marble collectors over the years, this lot will have a mix of old & new game marbles & some slight variation in color & size. I will try to match the colors & sizes as best I can in the lots being sold with this offer. Most game marbles are around 5/8" in diameter, although this may vary somewhat. “Target” marbles of this size were the ones targeted in some marble games where larger “Shooters” were used. Some of the older used marbles have some minor wear. I have removed any marbles with noticeable damage from the mix & have washed these thoroughly. Note: With marbles having more weight for their size, shipping tends to be more than average items. I do reimburse shipping overage charges for most orders of more than 2 lots.
