Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic early 20th century antique Arts & Crafts Tiger Oak side chair. The chair is crafted from bold grain Tiger Oak & is finished in a warm golden brown color. The chair has three metal inlay flowers on the crest & three metal inlay flowers on the splat. The flowers have brass stems, copper petals, & a silver colored metal used for the bulbs likely nickel, pewter, or silver. We couldn’t locate any makers mark but a production number of 6289 is written in pencil on the underside. We’ve handled Roycroft chairs with similar feet but they’re usually stamped & are a little different stylistically. The chair is in great condition with our only notes being an old repair at the top of one of the stiles & the finial cap on that stile was reglued facing the wrong way. We’ll have our restorer rotate the finial cap & also ask him to touch up the old repair to make it even less noticeable. The chair measures 18" wide x 20 1/2" deep x 42 1/4" tall with a seat height of 18 1/2". 20Th Century Antique Arts & Crafts Tiger Oak Desk Chair with Metal Inlay
