This antique whale engraving was made in Europe in 1852 & was hand colored. The Bowhead or True Whale print is 6 1/8" high x 9 5/8" wide & is in good condition. The details are clear & there is very subtle texture in the tail & body of the whale. There is light smudging mostly along the edge that can be covered if desired when the print is matted & framed. The colors are not represented well in the photos. The color of the paper is a light warm beige & the mouth of the whale is a soft warm violet.
